How we work

Follow the load from the working end. Carry every decision to production.

We develop the structure, analysis, manufacturing plan, and cost picture together. The people who buy, build, inspect, and install it enter the process while important choices are still flexible.

THE WORKING SEQUENCE

Designed from the top down. Developed as one connected loop.

The level of detail grows with the design. Early calculations and models help compare layouts; detailed analysis, cost evidence, and supplier planning mature together before final release.

  1. 01

Set the targets and map the load path

Define rating, duty, interfaces, load cases, required margins, current weight and cost, and what the business needs to improve.

  2. 02

Establish the layout with iterative analysis

Rough out the connected structures and use early calculations and FEA to understand how forces move between them and where weight begins to compound.

  3. 03

    Bring downstream partners in early

Review material, joints, welding, machining, tolerances, inspection, sourcing, handling, transport, and installation while important choices remain flexible.

  4. 04

    Develop, analyze, price, and repeat

Evolve the geometry and details with repeated analysis, supplier input, cost feedback, and manufacturing review instead of waiting for a final handoff.

  5. 05

    Complete the engineering record

Finalize the applicable load cases and failure-mode checks, independently review critical work, and release coordinated calculations, drawings, and specifications.

  6. 06

Support the supplier and first build

Help complete manufacturing and inspection plans, answer shop questions, evaluate changes and nonconformances, and capture first-build learning.

FINAL VERIFICATION

Evidence that explains the completed design.

A polished model is not the objective. The engineering record should make the inputs, methods, behavior, margins, limitations, and checks clear enough for serious technical review.

Complete, controlled inputs

Ratings, duty, interfaces, codes, loads, assumptions, exclusions, and required margins are established and kept traceable as the design changes.

The relevant behavior

Final verification addresses the applicable load cases, limit states, connections, and credible failure modes identified by governing requirements and engineering judgment.

Analysis that can be challenged

FEA is supported by hand checks, sensitivity studies, and a clear explanation of which loads and failure modes set the required size, geometry, and margins.

Independent technical review

Critical assumptions, calculations, models, details, and releases are checked by someone able to question the preferred answer in proportion to the project risk.

DRAWINGS THAT CAN BE BUILT AND VERIFIED

Definition is part of the engineering.

The design must work, the shop must be able to make it, and quality must be able to verify it. Those are not separate conversations.

Functional tolerances

Every control should trace to function, assembly, manufacturing, or verification. Tighter is not automatically better.

Useful GD&T

GD&T is applied where it clarifies functional interfaces, datums, and inspection. Conventional dimensions may be clearer elsewhere.

A shared production plan

The drawings, fabrication sequence, machining strategy, inspection access, measurement method, and acceptance plan must agree.
